Radeon HD 7870 (Pitcairn XT) is to feature 1408 stream processors, 88 texture and 24 raster operating units. It will be equipped with 2GB GDDR5 of 256-bit memory. Core clock is to be set at 950 MHz while memory will effectively run at 5500 MHz. Card should be available for 9.
Radeon HD 7850 (Picairn Pro) will feature 1280 stream processors, 80 texture and 24 raster operating units. Card will also be equipped with 256-bit interface. There will be two variants of Radeon HD 7850, one with 2GB and the other with 1GB of memory. Clocks will remain the same as in 7870 thats 950/5500 MHz. Card will be sold for 9 for 2GB version and 9 for 1GB version.

Nekako sam i ja, posle onih 68xx serija, sve očekivao da će i naredne biti sve jeftinije... tek se sada vidi koliko su to povoljne (i još uvek su) kartice, pogotovo 6850... na kraju će biti jagma za njima i 6950 kao sada za šestojezgarnim thubanima. Pa, sa ovakvim cenama, spremimo se da duže postoje na tržištu dve-tri generacije ati kartica s kojima može da se nešto odigra. Sad da čekamo Đeknu Kuplunga, pa da vidimo ka` će i šta će.
HD 7850 i HD 7870 su po spcifikacijama slabije od HD 6970 i HD 6950, mozda ce zbog nesto vecih klokova biti blizu po brzini. Ali ako se budu klokovale kao HD 7900, i ako je poboljsana teselacija kao kod 7900 a verovatno jeste jer je GCN arhitektura, onda ce biti solidna kupovina za te pare, to su nesto manje cene od sadasnjih za HD 6950/70.
HD 7890, ima specifikacije kao i HD 6970 osim 384bit magistrale, pa ce to biti verovanto nesto jaca karta od HD 6970, a cena ako bude 359$ to je otprilike cena HD 6970.
Ali mislim da klokovi nisu tacni, ne verujem da ce biti isti na HD 7850 i na 7870...

Po logici sto je jedno Pitcairn (XT) koji ce imati slicne specifikacije kao Cayman (6950/70), a drugo Tahiti LE, 7890 bi trebalo da je osakacena HD 7950 sa prepolovljenom memorijom i manje stream procesora i teksturnih jedinica. 1.5GB je pola od 3GB koliko ima HD 7950, ali opet jeste cudno da ima manje memorije od HD 7870.
